Dorothy Tutin

Dame Dorothy Tutin, DBE was an English actress of stage, film and television. For her work in the theatre, she won two Olivier Awards and two Evening Standard Awards for Best Actress. She was made a CBE in 1967 and a Dame in 2000.

Dorothy Tutin was born in London onApril 1930, the daughter of John Tutin and his wife Adie Evelyn , a couple who married the following year. Her year of birth was sometimes given as 1931, said to disguise the circumstances of her birth, but certainly not by herself.
